Advocacy

ADS is your voice and conduit for dermatology issues, whether federal or state.  We stay closely involved with the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as the Medical Association of Alabama, to stay abreast of issues affecting the dermatology community.

Continued Medical Education

ADS coordinates CME Meetings throughout the year with engaging and educational topics and speakers from all over the country as well as local. ADS members get to attend these meetings for free. 

Network of Colleagues
ADS supports multiple avenues for networking, including quarterly CME meetings, Fall & Spring Journal Club dinner programs, annual Summer Symposium, and a private facebook group (email aldermsociety@gmail for access).

Philanthropy
ADS offers its members the opportunity to submit a grant application through its annual ADS Grants Program and Sun Shade Structure Program. Grants must be authored or sponsored by an ADS member, and give members to the opportunity to affect real change in their communities through sun shade structures, resident education funding, research opportunities, and more.

Summer Symposium
ADS presents their annual Summer Symposium each June, featuring four days of continuing medical education and networking opportunities in a family-friendly agenda.  ADS members receive a significant registration fee discount.
