Philanthropy

Through its annual ADS Grants Program and Sun Shade Structure Program, the Alabama Dermatology Society has made significant strides in fulfilling its mission statement of supporting and educating our patients, members, specialty, and community with integrity and professionalism.

ADS offers its members the opportunity to submit grant applications through its annual ADS Grants Program. Grants must be authored or sponsored by an ADS member, and give members the opportunity to affect real change in their communities through sun shade structures, resident education funding, research opportunities, and more.

The ADS Sun Shade Structure program helps to build permanent shade structures at schools, daycares, parks, and other non-profit organizations to cover outdoor areas not protected from the sun.
