Family Events & Information
The Grand Hotel requires proper attire in the hotel's Conference Center, where we will be serving all breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks during meeting hours. All individuals participating in the conference and conference food breaks are required to follow the Conference Center dress code, as other programming is scheduled at the venue. This includes all individuals being fully covered and no swimsuits or bare feet are allowed in the Conference Center.
All guests who wish to attend the meals in the Conference Center must register additionally for a Guest Meal Wristband. We understand this is a change from the years past, so we have added some exciting family events where wristbands will not be required and swimsuits and bare feet are encouraged!

Welcome Reception Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Thursday, June 19, 6pm-8pm Kickoff the weekend with us at Julep Point with our family-friendly Welcome Reception, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson! Take in the sunset over Mobile Bay and enjoy food and drinks with your family and ADS friends! Wristbands are not required. *Please note, proper attire is required. | Family Night: Saturday, June 21, 5pm-8pm Join us on the Grand Ballroom Patio & Lawn for Family Night! Stop by before you go to dinner or stay the entire time. We will be serving light bites and drinks. Enjoy lawn games, roasting marshmallows and family fun! Pool & Beach Cabanas ADS has reserved two family pool cabanas, 1 and 2, for meeting attendees and their guests on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 from 10am-5pm. Cabanas 1 and 2 cannot be reserved and are open to ADS attendees and their families to share. Full menu service is available for purchase from Jubilee Poolside Grill. Wristbands are not required. If you would like to reserve a private cabana, please click here to reserve directly through the hotel. | Bucky's Firepits Located on Bucky’s Lawn, the bay-view firepits are one of the resort's most desired settings to relax and unwind. ADS has reserved Firepits 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 for meeting attendees and their guests on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 from 5pm-8pm. Full menu service available for purchase from Bucky's Lounge. Wristbands are not required. ADS Summer Symposium Guest Policies
Please note, all of the meals (breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks) will be served in the Grand Hotel Conference Center. Proper attire (no swimsuits or bare feet) is required in the Conference Center at all times.
Alabama Dermatology Society members' registration includes all food and beverage functions at the conference for yourself and up to two guests. Any guests you bring will require a wristband to attend the meal functions served in the Conference Center. Children age 10 and under do not need a wristband. If you would like to bring additional guests, you can purchase additional meal wristbands for $100 each.
Non-members/Out of State attendees must purchase wristbands for any guest who wishes to attend the meal functions in the Conference Center.
Due to space constraints, Exhibitors and Industry attendees are not permitted to bring guests (including children under 10) to meal functions in the Conference Center. Please note that ADS pool & beach cabanas, as well as the Bucky's fire pits, are reserved for conference attendees and their families only. If you would like to reserve or a cabana or a fire pit, please contact the hotel.
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall outside meal periods.
